| Name: | Agent Kent Taylor |

| Website: | Vantage Point |

I'm aware of What you've done |
You can sum up Kent Taylor in three simple words. Secret. Service. Agent. Fresh out of the academy, there's a puppy-like mentality to the young man that screams loyalty to his handlers at the agency. He's no where near the equal to his partner Thomas Barnes, but he has the same skills and the potential (they believe) to be molded into an ideal agent for the future. There's a distinct human element in Kent that alot of POTUS detail agents don't have. He got his start guarding the president's daughter Susannah Ashton at Columbia University and her high regard for him led her father to enquire about a position on his own post-after his wife hounded him about it. That was how Kent Taylor was paired with Thomas Barnes, a living legend, who he regarded as a genuine hero, a regard that was to be short lived. Kent found Barnes a far cry for the overly logical and rational leader that he expected. Nervous and somewhat irrational, rather then finding a mentor figure he found a man just as uncertain and unsure as he was. He didn't let it rile him however and took the partner code literally, taking Barnes's side in arguments and defending him to other members of their security detail. He did all that he could to gain the man's confidence. He had his reasons. Reasons he doesn't clarify as he drives home in his mercedes and lights up an occasional cigarette. Reasons that he doesn't go into as he carries on affair after affair with Senate Pages and hard curious washington career women. There is in fact a rumor that the reason why he was assigned to POTUS detail was an effort by the first lady to get the young and handsome secret service agent away from her daughter who she believed was becoming "infatuated." Kent denies these rumors along with Susannah, something that President Ashton listens to and takes notice of. Besides, the guy's smart, brain to Barnes's brawn. He speaks three languages (English, French, and Spanish), and has a way of dealing with people. |
I had hoped/I believed/ |
He is the up and coming generation of the whitehouse, the one that President Ashton is trying to sway and the one that his partner fails to understand. He has hobbies, he has some skill with machinery and ironically computer programming. As far as the agency knows he epitomizes the American dream. Poor Immigrant Parents, raised in an upperclass Washington Suburb, straight A student. It's stereotypical enough to be the plot of a hollywood movie. He's not worried however, he just goes with the flow wherever it takes him. Lately they're going to Spain. He's rather excited. |
You’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our certain points of view. |
Kent is kind of a jerk in addition to what happens with the film, so expect this journal to be R-Rated unless otherwise stated and contain adult mature. Also assume that this journal is Spoilerful for the month of March. Keep this in mind and recognize that nothing is what it seems, especially in relation to this guy. This? This here's for play in |
